Love for the territory

Azienda Agricola Conte Collalto is located in Susegana (TV) and it is one of the most ancient Italian wineries, which history is rooted in the past since 958. We are talking about the largest area of Prosecco Superiore CASTLEConegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG with 250 hectares, 150 of which are vineyards. It boasts an important and high-quality production per year with 850.000 bottles thanks to a wise technique of vinification rooted in the centuries.
Conte Collalto Winery produces 550.000 elegant bottles of Prosecco Superiore Conegliano di Valdobbiadene DOCG and other 300.000 bottles of polished white wines, rosé and strong red wines but also three Reserves, a Grappa and an Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
The certain success of these wines is tied to the successful management of the winery by the Princess Isabella Collalto de Croÿ that took the control over the winery and vineyards 10 years ago, in 2007. She is focused on the sustainability of the structure, the use of removable energetic sources and attention to the local biodiversity.

Record of prizes for Conte Collalto wines

2017 has started yet, but Conte Collalto Winery is still celebrating the numerous prices won in 2016, both at national and international level. These prizes are the living proof of the commitment and the passion for wine of the family for more than a thousand years.
Let’s start from the Wine Spectator, a reference American magazine in the wine field that awarded the Torrai Cabernet Riserva 2011 a score of 90/100.
During the Merano Wine Festival three jewels of the winery received the prize Merano Wine Award: Prosecco Superiore Brut Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG 2015, Prosecco Superiore Extra Dry Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG 2015 and Vinciguerra I Colli di Conegliano Rosso DOCG 2010.
Manzoni Moscato Spumante Rosè Extra Dry has been snowed under with important prizes, meeting the approval of judges all over the world: gold medal at Concours National de Bruxelles, gold medal at International Competition 2016 of Gilbert & Galliard, silver medal at World Championship “The Campagne & Sparkling Wine 2016” and finally bronze medial at IWSC 2016.

Courses at the winery

Conte Collalto Winery isn’t focused only on its own success but also on the training of other people, as it is a strategic asset for every winemaker. For this reason, after the success of 2016, also in 2017, from 23rd to 25th January the program of “Corsi in cantina” (Courses at the winery) took place. It is dedicated to all who loves wine but also to people that want to get closer to this new job.

The course took place in the Winery during three days of full-immersion held by Simonit & Sirch and the entire staff of Preparatori d’Uva, real guru in the field. The classes have been both theoretical and practical thanks to the trainers that have shown practically the pruning techniques, giving to the participants the possibility to exercise.

CORSI COLLALTO

Not only preparation of the vine but also training of the people, in fact the 28th February the Winery is hosting an exclusive cycle of 10 classes of Third Level, organized by FISAR (Federatione Italiana Sommelier, Albergatori e Ristoratori) of Treviso. The classes will regard the most different themes, from the method to the pairings up to the study of the food: a diverse theme for each evening.

The wines of Conte Collalto Winery

Azienda Agricola Conte Collalto boasts an extraordinary production of wines able to satisfy all the palates: Prosecco, indigenous, international, reserves and the products that belong to Feudi di Collalto.
The multi-awarded Manzoni Rosè is a fresh but delicate wine that fascinates for its colour and enchant for its notes of rose and linden flowers. The final taste is soft, with a sweet note barely recognizable, for this reason Manzoni Rosè is refreshing and easy to pair with diverse dishes such as light cold cuts, fish starters or meat dishes.
Another delicate wine is Rosabianco, another pearl of the Incroci Manzoni wines. it is characterized by a beautiful straw yellow with gold shades and a fusion of aromas and flavours making it strong and delicate at the same time.
Notes of white flowers, of peach and yellow pulp and pineapple, preferring the pairing with pasta and risotto with vegetables, crustaceans and white meats but also dishes of the Oriental cuisine, spiced and flavoured.
The vigorous Torrai, winner of diverse prizes, is a red wine elegant, dry and warm. It is well balanced with a ruby red colour and dark red shades. On the nose it has slight notes of wild berries, vanilla and on the palate it is well balanced and not too acid. It is perfect with braised beef, stew meat, pork roasted but also long seasoned cheeses.
