Events of February all over Italy
Welcome to February! The months of the coloured and eccentric Carnival time where all the cities liven up and cook their best desserts of this period. Venice for first, the amazing Italian city where you can attend timeless Carnival parties from 11th to 28th February. But February is much more, there are events for all tastes and pockets… we talk about it right now!
Expositions of Made in Italy
Italian regions offer a wide range of food and wine events each weekend of the year to taste and discover the best products of Italy: do not miss the chance to attend all these festivals. Let’s do this in an orderly fashion:
Veneto
From 27th January to 5th February (you are still in time!) Veneto is focused on its precious symbol: Treviso Red Chicory, with the 31st edition of the well-known “Festa del Radicchio Rosso di Treviso”. In these days, in fact the pavilion installed in front of the sport facilities of Dosson will host the festival and for seven days people can taste dedicated menus with Radicchio paired with local wines, different dishes for each day. Slow Food Treviso and Slow Food Veneto organize the event Slow Wine dedicated to the winemakers of Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia and Trentino Alto Adige, also mentioned in the guide Slow Wine 2017. Thus, don’t make other plans for Sunday 12th because from 10.30 to 19.00 in the rooms of the conference centre of BHR Hotel in Treviso you can taste the delicious wines of more than 70 wineries. If you are in love with Treviso Red Chicory and you can get enough of it, at the end of February, from 25th to 5th CocoRadicchio 2017 will take place. It is an itinerant festival that involve the restaurants of Treviso and neighbourhood to enhance this typical product through delicious recipes. Lombardia
The third edition of Live Wine 2017 – Salone Internazionale del Vino Artigianale (International exposition of craft wine) will take place the 18th and 19th February at Palazzo del Ghiaccio of Milan.
Two days dedicated to craft wine, the most important event on the theme of Milan, where the visitors can taste and buy wines made by Italian and international winemakers.
At the same time there will be tastings and meetings about wine but also other stands dedicated to craft food and publishing. Live Wine 2017 is also family friendly, in fact Sunday 19th parents have the possibility to entrust their children to an entertainer and enjoy the visit. Info and tickets here
The day after, Monday 20th, the professionals in the food and wine sector could attend for free a tasting in the restaurant of the starred chef Enrico Bartolini located in the third floor of Mudec, reservation required. From 25th to 28th February at Centro Fiera del Garda di Montichiari (BS) will take place Golositalia, a public event focus on the Ho.RE.CA professionals and buyers, that attracts each year thousands of visitors from all over the world. 640 exhibitors that exhibit their best products but also the last technological devices for the food and wine sector. Emilia Romagna
This region is completely committed to beer for the month of February. At the Rimini Expo Centre, in fact, from 18th to 21st February the third edition of Beer Attraction will take place. An international event dedicated to the brewers, craft beers, technologies and raw materials. After the success of the second edition it decided to widen, enclosing also the food sector with specialities Made in Italy. Marche
From 3rd to 5th February, thus from tomorrow and for this entire first week end of February at the Fermo Forum there will take place Enoliexpo Adriatica, the festival of technologies, products and services to produce wine and oil. A great exposition that enclose all that the professionals and buyers should know about production of oil and wine. Not only exhibition but also dedicated meetings. Lazio
Last but not least is Lazio: the capital of Italy hosts, in fact, two important food and wine events. From 16th to 19th February at Salone delle Fontane – Eur there will be the event “I migliori vini italiani” (in English “The best Italian wines”), four days of non-stop public tastings and unique events. More than 100 exhibitors from all over Italy and more then 600 labels to discover the best Italian wines and their producers coming from every corner of Italy!
