Sweet muffins: a delicacy for all

At breakfast or for a break: sweet muffins are always perfect!

Both adults and children love sweet muffins, easy to prepare also for those people that aren’t excellent cooks; it is soft, mono-dose, held by special paper cases. This dessert is loved also because it is versatile, perfect for a break, at breakfast or at the end of the meal, it can be decorated becoming a real delicacy for the palate and the view.
Its origins are uncertain. The main theory says that they was born in the United States, other people think that it has German origins given that the name can derive from the word “muffen” which means “small cakes”, whereas another theory wants that this delicacy comes form the French word “mouflet”, which means “soft”.

Sweet muffins, a simple recipe!

Muffins have a pretty simple recipe with few ingredients, easy to find.

3 eggs
180 gr of butter
380 gr of flour
A pocket of yeast
200 ml of milk
200 gr of sugar
A pinch of salt
Aromas (vanilla or lemon zest, according to your taste)

Whip carefully eggs with sugar and add all the other ingredients. Place the dough it in the muffin paper cases. There are different dimensions for sale, based on the personal taste, but remind to not fill them till the brim. Bake for 20 minutes and your muffins will be ready to be eaten, plain or decorated with powdered sugar, butter cream, coloured creams or sugary decorations. Just a marginal note: the cooking time depends on the size of the muffin cases that you’ve chosen, thus check often the oven.

Tasty Sweet Muffin with a lot of Nutella

You don’t like the idea to eat a plain dessert? Do you want to enrich it, making it tastier? Who can resist a Nutella muffin?
To realize it, it is sufficient to change the above recipe because the portions change:

2 eggs
100 gr of sugar
100 gr of butter
370 gr of flour
A pocket of yeast
A pinch of salt

Blend all the ingredients together and then fill the muffin case, paying attention to a little trick: a bit of dough, then Nutella (based on your taste) and finally other dough. The result will be a muffin with a pleasant surprise… no one can resist a tasty muffin!

Light Sweet Muffin with skimmed or fruit yogurt

After all the calorie of the Nutella muffin, try this light yogurt muffin. In this case the recipe is pretty light, suitable for who is on a diet, perfect for a tasty but light breakfast. You need:

2 eggs
100 gr of sugar
2 yogurt pots
100 ml corn oil (no butter, calorie has to decrease)
270 gr of flour
A pocket of yeast

Yogurt should be natural, but nothing stops you to realize fresh strawberry muffins using the strawberry yogurt, perfect for the summer.
