DOC Piave: River Wines

The DOC Piave area, one of the largest Italian DOC, is enclosed in a large territory from Treviso and Friuli Venezia Giulia Region to the mouth of Piave, in Cortellazzo (VE); from the hills in Conegliano and Montello to the hinterland of Venice. This wide area has a huge variety of terrains and microclimates, that allows to obtain different wines.

From north to south the land is representative of the materials that Piave river collected during its journey. From the red ancient terrains which coincide with the early presence of Piave river in the west part of Montello, to the soils consisting of stone, to the medium ones and, at the end, soils mainly composed by clay.

The river that cross Veneto region gave birth to thousands of vineyards, which in turn, donate the magic atmosphere of the Piave area.
The wines are: Pinot Bianco, Pinot Nero, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Piave Malanotte, Verduzzo, Carmenère, Raboso Piave, Tai, Merlot, Cabernet, Cabernet Sauvignon.
