Vegan hamburger: cruelty free, health and tasty

Who says that vegetarian and vegan have to give up to tasty hamburgers? Even the most famous sandwiches of the world have their cruelty free version that is as good as the original carnivorous version. Legumes, vegetables and vegetable proteins as tofu and seitan are essential ingredients that give possibility to fantasy and creativity.

These extraordinary vegan hamburgers are perfect to serve inside soft slices of bread with sesame seeds, with lettuce, tomatoes and mayonnaise (possibly veg with oil instead of butter) for a perfect version of a Veg burger homemade, even tastier of the Mc Donalds hamburger or the vegan fast food!

Use legumes: chickpeas, lentils and lupines

Tasty, healthy, with proteins and perfect for a savoury hamburger! If you prefer delicate tastings choose chickpeas to realise light burgers enriched with zucchini and sesame seeds. You should blend a can of chickpeas, add two grinded zucchini and sear in a pan with spring onion, oil, salt, pepper and parsley. Knead adding two spoons of chickpea flour and lemon zest. Leave to rest in the fridge and cook in the oven. Perfect to serve inside a soft bread with sesame seeds, lettuce, gherkins and ketchup.

Lentils have stronger flavours and for this reason they are perfect to be seasoned with aromas and spices. Boil two medium-size diced potatoes, once cooked sear it again in a pan with oil, garlic, rosemary and bay tree leaves. Blend the potatoes and season with 250 gr of lentils boiled with parsley and a pinch of salt and pepper, as you like. Add breadcrumbs or potato starch to thicken. Make some small burgers and cook in a pan until they are golden. They are perfect in a Veg burger with caramelised Tropea Onion and tomato Confit.

Lupines and vegetables for a tasty and health burger! Sear in a pan leek, carrot, celery, zucchini, peas, broccoli and potatoes cut in small dices. Season with curry, chives and salt. In the meantime blend lupines with a drizzle of oil, salt and pepper. Once they become a puree mix with vegetables and thicken with rice flour or potato flour and bake or grill. It is a perfect vegan burger to serve with veg mayo, lettuce and tomatoes.

Tofu and spinach, taste and health!

The green and tasty tofu and spinach burger is a must among the vegburger. It is a refill of health and energy! Choose thick tofu, flavoured with herbs, crumble the dough in a pan and sear with oil and garlic. Add 100 gr of spinach and leave seasoning. Blend in the mixer and add rice flour if the dough is too liquid. Once cooled down, make some burgers and roll in breadcrumbs and sesame seeds. Bake for 40’. It is perfect in a burger with chilli sauce and grilled vegetables.

Extraordinary burger with Seitan, eggplants and pine nuts

Sear in a pan 300 gr of diced eggplants with oil and garlic. Once cooked mix with 120g of Seitan, 30 gr roasted pine nuts, salt, pepper, paprika and chives. Thicken with breadcrumbs and make some flat meatballs. Bake for half an hour and try this delicacy!
Its sweet taste gets perfectly married with bread rich in seeds, dried tomatoes in oil and fried onions.
