The world’s best restaurant is Italian

It whipped the Noma of Copenahen and El Celler de Can Roca, winner of 2015, and won the title of World’s Best Restaurant 2016 in a huge ceremony held in New York. The winner is Osteria Francescana and its chef is the well-known Massimo Bottura, who enchanted the judges with its restaurant and its star dishes.

Osteria Francescana, with its 12 tables, is situated in the heart of Modena and its cuisine is a collision of ideas, cultures and technique, as Chef Bottura said. The dishes are characterized by colours, consistencies and a wide culinary research, that culminate in creations that nominate this jewel of Modena as the top of the top of the world’s restaurants.

Bottura founded the Osteria in 1995, in 2002 he obtained the first Michelin star, doubled in 2006 and in 2012 he gained the third star.
