Vinitaly 2017, wine, tradition and innovation
From 9th to 12th April, the expo centre of Verona turns purple and will be ready to host the most important Italian exposition on wine sector: Vinitaly.
First of all workers on the sector, but also experts, lovers, institutional and celebrities. All want to be part of it! Vinitaly is the exhibition with capital E that aims to talk about the last trends of the market, news and allow to create new business opportunities. A four-days show made of great events, tastings and workshops to promote the Made in Italy and make known the Italian wine sector to the visitors that arrive from all over the world.
Vinitaly 2017, the Italian wine regions
The sensorial experience inside Vinitaly is divided in more than 12 pavilions, each of which host winemakers coming from one or more regions, for a total of 4.000 exhibitors. In a single pavilion will be possible to make a real journey in Italy, tasting the best wine products of each region. The tastings will be guided by the abilities of the producers themselves, that work personally to create high quality wines. Each tasting will be as visiting the territories where the wine in your glass come from: floral and fruity notes of the Prosecco wines of Veneto, the minerality and the freshness of the Friulian wines, the perfumes of Trentino Alto Adige, the sun and the hot Sicilian days. Each sip will be a real sensorial experience, close your eyes and you will see breath-taking landscapes!
Vinitaly 2017, not only wine
Vinitaly give the possibility to know wines that belongs to other country, all this inside the pavilion Vininternational, a whole exhibition centre dedicated to the international production of wine coming from Kosovo, Poland, France, Georgia, South Africa, United States, Russia, Spain, Japan, Croatia, Hungary, Australia, Portugal, Azerbaijan, Argentina, Mosella and Uruguay.
But there’s much more, the International Exhibition Sol&Agrifood displays the best of the Italian agro-food products, whereas in Enolitech it is possible to find the technologies and the technical equipment for wine and oil sector.
The fourth edition of VinitalyBio is dedicated mainly to certified biological wine produced both in Italy and abroad.
Vinitaly 2017, the off-site event in the historical centre of Verona
The exhibition doesn’t take place just at the expo centre, but it involves all the city of Verona to offer to the visitor a complete entertainment.
The prestigious restaurants of the Shakespearian city, in fact, are the main character of “Vinitaly and the City”, the off-site event where famous chefs propose pairings between wine and regional products.
The heart of Verona is just few minutes far from the Expo Centre, thus it is compulsory to carve out some hours to visit the city of “Romeo and Juliet”, UNESCO historical and cultural heritage.
Once in the city centre, in Piazza Bra, you will be welcome by the imposing Verona Arena, the roman amphitheatre built between the I and III century, the ludic roman architecture par excellence, preserved in an excellent way thanks to the continuous refurbishments. Few steps away, Piazza delle Erbe, the living room of the people from Verona, host the palace of the Municipality, the Lamberti Tower and in the middle the Fountain of Madonna di Verona.
A visit to the Juliet’s house is compulsory. Here you can admire and go up on the famous Juliet’s balcony where the girl look out to talk with her Romeo in the most known scene of the Shakespearian comedy.
To conclude the visit to the historical centre, we advise you Castelvecchio, with the famous Arche Scaligere, the bridge on the Adige that offers breathtaking views on the river, above all at sunset.
